Heather Hummert grew up on a farm and cattle ranch north of Max, ND. She is the youngest of three siblings and her parents still live on the family farm. She attended the University of Mary where she majored in secondary English Education and graduated Cum Laude in 2010. She was employed by Bismarck Public Schools as an Instructional Aide and then as a Reading Interventionist at Horizon Middle School. 

She and her husband, Aaron, married in 2014. In 2015, Heather became a stay-at-home mom to their first daughter, Addison, and they welcomed their second daughter, Kaitlyn in 2017. Both girls now attend school at St. Joseph. 

In 2023, Heather became certified in CGS Level 1 and was the Level 1 Atrium Guide for the 2023-2024 school year. 

Heather enjoys reading, crochet, crafting, embroidery, flowers and gardening. She and her family like to travel, spend time outdoors, bike, kayak, and play with their black lab, Lexie.
