Michelle Friedt was hired as the Music Education Instructor for St. Joseph Catholic School, Mandan, N.D. She graduated from Shanley High School, Fargo, N.D. Michelle graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in K-12 Vocal and Instrumental Music Education as a piano major. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in Sacred Music, both which were obtained from the University of Mary. The Presidential Leadership award was presented to Michelle during her senior year of college for her immense involvement in music ministry, key club, steel band, jazz band, being a student conductor for the band ensemble, as well as many different volunteer opportunities on campus and around the Bismarck-Mandan community.

Michelle has taught K-5 music education for three years in the Bismarck Public Schools and was a member of the Prairie Winds Orff educators. She has been a piano accompanist and contemporary music group leader for fifteen years at Ascension Catholic Church. Michelle is a wedding music planner, funeral musician, and piano teacher. Michelle sings tenor and is the Assistant Director for the River Rhapsody Chorus, part of the Sweet Adelines International Organization.

Michelle, along with her husband Jared and three children, are parishioners of Ascension Catholic Church. When Michelle is not teaching or creating music, she enjoys spending time with her family outdoors camping and swimming, or indoors dancing and sampling many different types of cuisines! She is very grateful to have joined this school community.
