Children's House Guide #1anearingsjsmandan.orgMrs. Alex Peterson is originally from Denver Co. She moved out here to attend The University of Mary where she graduated in the spring of 2018 with dual degrees in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She emphasized Special Education during her time at the University of Mary as well including working for Pride Inc. for several years. During her student teaching term at The University of Mary, she was introduced into to the Montessori method. Her favorite thing about the method is the autonomy it gives to even the youngest of child to have control over their educational experiences. After a few phone calls to Fr. Waltz, she received training in the 3-6 ages and opened the first Montessori room at Saint Joseph Catholic Montessori School in the fall of 2019. Mrs. Peterson got married over the 2024 summer. She also coaches' volleyball for St Mary’s Academy as well as Co-directing Trinity Youth Camp during the summer.
