Registration for Summer Daycare will be held on April 19th for current families and registered parishioners starting at 6:30am and on April 20th for the general public. If you have any questions, please contact Heather at 701-663-0032.
Acceptance into the Early Years Learning Center will be based on the center being able to meet the physical, intellectual, social, and emotional needs of the children. Availability of space at the center is another critical element as well as the parent’s willingness to pay on a timely basis. The Director has the right to reject any child’s enrollment if it has a detrimental affect on the other children or staff.
Our center is not physically equipped to care for special needs children, nor does it employ a special needs teacher. Children with special needs will be accepted only upon the consent of the Director. After a trial basis continued enrollment will be based upon an evaluation to whether the child is able to benefit from our program without risk to him/her or to the other children.
The ages of the children we care for in the daycare are six weeks through twelve years old. The ages and the developmental level of the children will determine their placement
in the center. Children must be toilet trained before entering the 3-12 year old side of the childcare center or the preschool program.
The ages accepted into the preschool program are 3, 4, and 5. Children must turn 3 before May 31 of the current year to enroll in the T/Th session. Children must turn 5 before July 31 of next year to enroll in the M, W, F session. If the sessions are not filled by March 1st an exception will be made to allow birthdays later that May 31st for the T TH sessions. There are two different sessions to accommodate the developmental levels of the preschoolers. For the 3 year olds and younger 4 year olds, the Tuesday / Thursday sessions are geared to their playful nature and short attention span. For the 4 year olds and 5 year olds, the sessions on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday will get them ready to enter the world of kindergarten. Please remember that if your child is in the Tuesday / Thursday class and is old enough and ready for Kindergarten the following year, they can go, they do not have to complete the M, W, F class before entering Kindergarten. Whichever class your child enters into will prepare them for the many years of school that follow.
Upon reading the Parent Handbook, the handbook agreement and billing plan need to be signed indicating the understanding of, approval of, and the willingness to follow and adhere to all policies outlined.
Prior to acceptance into the daycare center or preschool, the parents need to enroll their children. The enrollment procedures include the completion of forms, a tour of the facilities, the Parent Handbook read and signed copy of immunization records submitted to the director, references checked, and the supply fee paid (toddlers- 12 year olds).
The forms may be picked up at the Director’s Office: 410 Collins Ave. Mandan, ND. The forms that need to be completed prior to the child’s first day are:
1. Enrollment Form
2. Health Assessment Form
3. Food Form
4. Free or Reduced Hot Lunch Form (if applicable)
6. Parent Handbook Agreement Form
5. Up-To-Date Immunization Record
7. Supply Fee Paid
8. Infant Forms (if applicable)
The supply fee for toddlers through 12 year olds is payable upon enrolling children in our daycare. It is $50.00 for the first child with a family being assessed no more than $90.00. An elementary (1st thru 6th), or summer only child’s supply fee is $35.00. There is no supply fee for families who use the daycare only in the morning before school (6:30am-8:30am) or for infants. The supply fee is paid on an annual basis and is non-refundable.
